Despite the scheduled opening of the new international airport at Corvera next spring Murcia’s “second airport” San Javier has drawn up agreements with the low cost airline, Jet.2 for new routes to the UK.
From March 29 next year Jet.2 will offer twice weekly flights to Glasgow and from April 3, 2012 will also be offering flights to East Midlands.
The total Jet.2 package between San Javier and the UK next year will offer eight direct connections including Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Belfast, Newcastle and Blackpool.
