Calasparra turned out in force, young and not so young, for the most traditional fiestas the Fiestas of the Patron Saints, at the Gran Prix, the Night of the Migas, the Paella Competition, the Diana wake up call and procession, the Verbena and the Pasadobles Concert in the Plaza de la Corredera.
It is the younger generations who will carry forward the traditions of Calasparra and they really got involved this year from the Zone of the «Peñas» with DJs late every night, the Gran Prix Contest in the Bull Ring, to the tradtional procession with charangas and the statues oif the Patron Saints, and, of course, the Night of the Migas.
Tradition plays a major role in these fiestas and the legendary duo, Azucar Moreno, put the icing on the cake for many Calasparrians who danced and sang along to the couples’ many hits.
