The local voluntary association, “Calasparra Se Mueve” has donated a cheque for a massive 23,000 euros, raised in Calasparra during 2025, to the Oncology Investigation Unit at the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca .
In a ceremony at Calasparra Town Hall a symbolic cheque for 23,000 euros, a result of voluntary contributions and charity events organised by the association, was presented to José Luis Alonso, Head of the Oncology Unit at the hospital, and Paula Ruiz, responsable in the area of investigation, and counted on the presence of the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia.
The donation is a result of the intense work of the association during the year with different charity events and reflects the solidarity and efforts of the members but also of businesses, shops, associations and residents of Calasparra who have joined in a commitment to cancer research.
