The low cost airline JET2.com has stepped in to fill the gap in service, left by Ryanair’s winter flight closures, from San Javier to the UK and will also operate regular daily flights to new destinations in the UK throughout the year.
The first flight from San Javier to Manchester will be at 12.25 pm on February 12.
JET2.com, based is Leeds, plans two flights daily to Manchester rising to four flights a day between May and September.
Flights to Leeds will begin on March 31 at 12.35pm; to Blackpool from May 29 at 11.35pm; and to Edinburgh at 12.30pm from April 2.
This expansion in service by JET2 coincides with the opening of the second runway at the airport.
