Pilots at Iberia have called two days of industrial action in protest at the airline’s plans to create a low cost company offering short and medium haul flights.
The strike will be on December 18 and 29 but Iberia claims national flights and those to the Spanish islands will be unaffected.
The pilots claim the new low cost airline endangers their jobs and their conditions of work. However, the airline disputes this and claims the conditions of work would remain unchanged and pilots will have more not less opportunities within the company.
