Five men and a woman were trapped in a van and had to be freed from the wreckage by firemen after it left the RM-714 and rolled several times on the verge.
The injured, employed by agricultural business in Alhama de Murcia and heading for work in Moratalla, were taken to hospital by ambulance.
According to their Union, the transport of agricultural workers in vans in the region has increased the number of work related deaths from 31 last year to 40 this year.
The Union has called for a meeting of the Commission of the Agricultural Sector to consider introducing measures to reduce the risk of workers who cross the region daily by road early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
The Union is demanding that the Administration prohibits the obligation to drive vans transporting workers after working more than eight hours on the land.
