A case brought by the oppostion parties in Calasparrra, against the former Mayor of Calasparrra, Pepe Velez, and his colleagues, has been archived by the Tribunal Supreme, and costs awarded against the claimants.
The case dates back to 2016 when the claimants, the PP, Calasparra Viva and Ciudadanos parties denounced the former Mayor, Jordi Arce, Antonio Moreno and Ricardo Garcia of the United Left, for falsely claiming salaries amounting to 125,000 euros.
The opposition parties now face a bill for 7,000 euros in costs.
