The Director General of Citizen Security and Emergency and Director of Plan Infomur (Plan to Prevent and Fight Forest Fires), reminds readers that it is prohibited to light bonfires anywhere or make fires in the mountains, even in designated barbecue areas.

STAY OUT OF THE HEAT
Readers are reminded that it is not advisable to be outside during the hottest hours of the day and to take the usual precautions against heat and sunstroke:
Wear loose, light clothing, a hat and sunglasses. Use sunscreen.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
Eat light meals and drink copious amounts of cold water.
Do not work outside or exercise during the hottest periods (11am to 7pm) taking advantage of the cool of the early morning or the late evening.
Stay in the shade and stay safe.
