The universal discount of 20 cents per litre of petrol or deisel ends on December 31 and petrol stations are expecting queues of motorists keen to fill up beofe the discount ends.
The Government is proposing a discount for lorry drivers, haulage and transport companies and professional dirvers and a one off voucher for the ose on low incomes. However, the details have ot yet been published.
The price of bottled gas has been frozen by the Government and this too ends on December 31 bringing predictions that the price from the current 19.55 cents to 22 euros or more.
