The Emergency Services of the Murcia Region have repeated the Extreme Risk of Forest Fire Warning, Level Orange, in the North West region of Murcia that includes Calasparra, for today, Monday June 29.
Residents are asked to practice extreme precaution in and around the countryside of Calasparra where any spark can end in disaster.
Bonfires, barbecues, use of machinery such as chain saws or strimmers, is strictly prohibited, as is throwing cigarette ends, extinct or not, on the ground.
Litter, and particularly glass, left on the ground can easily ignite in these high temperatures.
