Dogs Rescue Calasparra are appealing for foster homes and/or donations as they struggle to cope with the litters of puppies and adult dogs abandoned in Calasparra.
This month this voluntary organisation has already taken in various litters of puppies and the new installations at the refuge are full to bursting. Volunteers can´t cope with the numbers and foster homes are desperately needed.
Just this week two puppies, found by the Local Police, were abandoned in a sack.

Just this week two puppies, found by the Local Police, were abandoned in a sack.
An adult small dog, about a year old, was taken in after being found roaming the Eras area for some time and was in danger of being run over.
Dogs Rescue cannot cope with more animals but the abandoning of puppies and dogs in Calasparra doesn´t stop. The owners refusing to take responsibility for their dogs, failing to sterilize them and then simply throwing the puppies away like a bag of rubbish.
Dogs Rescue also reports that are fewer people volunteering to adopt.
This situation is untenable for an association committed to animal welfare but there is simply no room at the refuge for another abandoned animal.
If you can help by fostering or adopting or volunteering some time to care for dogs at the refuge please contact Dogs Rescue Calasparra.
