The Medical Centre in Calasparra is one of 15 selected in the Murcia region to take part in a pilot scheme to limit the number of patients seen by a GP in a day.
A limit of 35 will constitute 30 patients with appojntments and five emergencies.
The pediatricians are limited to 20 children daily.
The pilot scheme has been introduced after the regional Department of Health began afternoon surgeries in some centres to reduce the number of patients seen by a GP and reduce waiting times.
Calasparra has been selected, along with another 14 centres, which have 1,250 medical cards (patients) for GPs at the centres.
