The UCE Murcia (The Union of Consumers) has warned that it has received several different complaints from people who have attended meetings held by the company, ACN, telephone sales company, that indicate it may be involved in pyramid selling.
Pyramid selling is onsidered “fraud” and is illegal in Spain.
The complaints centre on “succulent amounts of income” for anyone who becomes one of the company’s representatives.
Prospective employees of ACN have informed the Union of Consumers that they “ have doubts” about the “supposed benefits announced by the company during the meetings and the cost effectiveness of the work, especially as new representatives are expected to fork out an initial 460 euros.” The UCE claim “the reality is completely different in that, calculating realistically, representatives need more than 2,500 clients to earn 100 euros.”
The company, ACN, has explained that the figures were only employed as “possible maximum earnings” for its representatives.
