Recycling workshops for children were part of an event in the Plaza de la Corredera held to mark the World Day of the Environment on June 5.
The children were also able to learn how to measure the caudal of local rivers and have their faces painted with designs of local fauna such as otters and turtles.
The Open Air painting competition, organized by the local club, Mulilla Torda, also had the environment for a theme. Participants painted local beauty spots including the Quipar reservoir and the Cortao Rojo.
First prize was won by Francisco Hernández of Sabadell and the second by Eduardo Manuel Egea of Jumilla.
