The Mountain Half Marathon is held in Calasparra every year in memory of Antonio de Behjar, and this year will take place on Saturday May 6.
The 17th edition of the event will start and finish on the Gran Via and consists of 9.5% on tarmac and 90.5% on paths and tracks on the Sierra del Molino, making a total of 21 kilometres of the Half Marathon.

The local half marathon is a homage to Antonio de Bejar, a member of Club Alpino, a mounainteer and passionate lover of the natural world, who died in 2002.
