Today, on the International Day of Gay Pride, a flag symbolises the LGTBI movement flies outside Calasparra Town Hall.
By flying the rainbow flag Calasparra Town Hall Town Hall supports the demands symbolized on this day in commemoration of the Stonewall protests in 1969, which reaffirmed the pride of all identities, sexual orientations and genders who are traditionally marginalized and suppressed, and raised their profile and their demands within society.
A day to remember that: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”, words, the Town Hall reminds us, that are taken from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights” and “for which we continue to work in any way we can.”
