Activities to mark the International Day of Peace were organized by schools all over Calasparra on Sunday with the little ones congregating in the Plaza de la Corredera in a colourful and tuneful celebration.
The aim of the event is to promote pace, non violence, tolerance and solidarity in the ambit of human rights.
Hundreds of pupils from the Los Molinos and the Esperanza Primary Schools gathered in the square to hear the readings of the Peace Manifesto and join in the songs: “We are” (Somos) and “Macaco.”
