The event took place in the Plaza de la Corredera and was attended by the Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, the Head of the Government Team, Nani Sanchez and Francisco Morcillo, of the Red Cross, Calasparra.
The Folklore and Cultural Association Rondalla of Calasparra provided traditional music and dance for the celebrations and this year all the service users from the OAPs Residence attended.
The Town Hall and the Red Cross encouraged all interested people to join organised activities and take part in the different events of the Senior Citizens Programme.
