CALASPARRA BIDS FAREWELL TO SANCTUARY’S VIRGIN WITH FLORAL OFFERING

The end of May signals the return of the statue of Our Lady of Hope to the Sanctuary following the traditional monthly sojourn in Calasparra.
On Saturday at 8pm at St Peter’s Church there will be a special mass with floral offerings followed by a performance by the Calasparra Choir.
On Sunday at 7am there will be a mass of farewell followed by the pilgrimage on foot over the mountains to accompany the statue back to the Sanctuary.
Also this weekend the first date on the cultural agenda at the new Open Air Theatre is a puppet show for children from three years old called “Centenito” by the Carmen Theatre Group. It starts at 8pm.
There is a new exhibition at the Sala de Comendador called Raices y Puntas (Roots and Points) by Miriam Martinez Guirao. It will be officially opened on Friday at 8.30pm. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 11am to 2pm and Saturdays 10.30am to 1.30pm. The exhibition runs until June 30.
