The British Consulate reminds citizens of the Uk residing in Spain that it is notalways necessary to attend the Consulate in person to use a wide range of notarial services as you can apply by post.
The only services for which you’ll need to attend an appointment in person are the certificate of foreign marriage recognition (https://www.gov.uk/marriage-abroad) and citizenship ceremony.
Whatever you are applying for, do make sure you have all the documents on the checklist before you submit your application.

This page (https://www.gov.uk/…/notarial-and-documentary-services…) provides more information on the services provided by the British Consulate, as well as those they don’t. For example, the Consulate does not translate or legalise documents, or hold a register of British nationals.
