The Euribor reached its highest level of the year at 2.11% last month, October, and consequently homeowners with mortgages revisable in November face another increase.
The increase on an average mortgage of 150,000 euros over 25 years will be 45 euros monthly or 540 euros a year.
This is the seventh rise in interest rates this year and predictions are the Euribor will reach 2.5% by December this year.
