The IX Vuelta al Santuario de Calasparra (Race around the Sanctuary) last Sunday was an absolute success with nearly 500 runners taking part in the 14k competitive run.
Organised by Blade Runners of Calasparra with Calasparra Town Hall through the Sports Department and with the support of FAMU, the route of the race offered spectacular views of the river Segura, the rice fields and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope.
As well as the race there was a 14k walking route,which was also very well supported, and childrenś races.
Congratulations to all those who took part, the volunteers and the organisers for making this new edition of «the Vuelta» an umissable date on the sporting calendar.
