The regional government of Murcia has banned the sale of alcohol between 10pm and 6am in shops, petrol stations and other businesses which are not bars or restaurants.
The move is aimed to stop the “botellones” where youngsters congregate in public places, such as streets, parks etc. with bottles of alcohol to “party,” where it is difficult to control Covid-10 protocols.
There is also a new limit on private and public reunions of 10 people (who are not from the same household).
These new restrictions follow a steep increase in contagions, hospital admissions and the number of patients in intensive care suffering from the virus.
