The Bishop of Cartagena, Mons.Lorca Planes, attended a celebratory mass in the Merced Church on Saturday to mark the official opening of the newly restored Parish Rooms on Saturday morning.
The local priest of Calasparra, led the mass and the Rev. Jesús Aguilar Mondéjar, Vicar of Carevaca and Mula; and Rev. D. Julián Rafael Sánchez Ruíz, Arcipriest of central Caravaca, also attended.
Following the mass the Bishop led a procession to the Parish Rooms where he blessed them and they were officially opened.
