BEST YEAR EVER TO GAZE AT LORENZO´’S TEARS

Hopefully the storms and cloudy weather will clear in time for star gazers to enjoy up to 500 shooting stars per hour between August 11 and 15, known in Spain as “Lorenzo´s Tears.”
The best time to view this incredible display begins at 1am on August 11.
This “rainfall” of stars is produced by particles of dust and rocks that comets leave in their trail as they orbit the sun.
However, the clouds are not the only threat to viewing as a full moon may also enter the equation.
Star gazers are advised there is not need for special equipment as the stars are easily visible to the naked eye. However, it is advisable to view in a spot away from street lighting etc.
The best way to view this phenomenom, according to experts, is to lie down on the ground or a sunbed and allow your eyes to accustom to the darkness. Then lie back and enjoy nature´s firework display.
