A competition for conductors, organised by the Association Band of Muswic of Calasparra, will bring three classical concerts to Calasparra in August and September.
The winner of the competition will be given the title “Maestro Galindo”.
The final phase of the competition, for student conductors, will be held in Calasparra with two concerts with guest conductors: Saturday August 13, conductor Aitor Escorza Ripoll of Alicante, in Cine Rosales; and Friday August 26, conductor Salvador Pérez Sánchez, of Jumilla, in the main square at the Sanctuary.
The competition aims to motívate young conductors from the Murcia Music Conservatory, “Manuel Massotti Littel,” and will give students the opportunity to continue with their training and put their studies to use in different situations.
The jury will bring in its decision on September 8 at a special concert, with the Association Band of Music, in the Plaza de la Corredera, bringing to a close the celebrations for Our Lady of Hope of the Sanctuary, which will be conducted by the band´s artisitc director, Julián Andreo Jiménez.
