On Tuesday 23rd February, the dog rescue Calasparra held a coffee and cake morning at the Alandalus restaurant on valle del sol, raising funds to support a worthwhile cause.
A fantastic turnout of residents were treated to homemade cakes and pastries and it was good to see many going back for more – waistline permitting !
There were some goods on sale, made by local people with some interesting and unusual items to buy.
A raffle was held with a great range of prizes to suit all tastes and at the end of the morning, any cakes / pastries that were left were sold off to those who had room for more when back at home.
The organising team did a fantastic job and all credit to them to get this event off the ground.
The weather made it a very enjoyable morning with a substantial amount of around 650 euros going to the centre. The team were overwhelmed with this amount and would like to thank everyone who contributed and turned up to make this a very special occasion.
