Last market day in Calasparra was also the celebration of the International Schools Day of Peace and Non Violence which was marked by a mass gathering of local school children in the Plaza de la Corredera.
The date coincides with the death of Gandi and was established by UNESCO in 1993.
Infant and Primary school children united to remember the necessity of tolerance, solidarity, respect, Human Rights, peace and non violence.
The Pedreras Primary School were the designated organisers this year and they based the event on the story of the Lion King as an example of good values.
