PP WIN ELECTIONS BUT LACK THE MAJORITY TO GOVERN

The Partido Popular, which governed before the elections, gained the most votes yesterday during the General Elections but will need to pact with other parties in order to govern.
With 123 seats the PP lack the 175 majority they need to govern.
The PSOE Socialist party came in second and Podemos were third.
Locally the PSOE were the party with the most votes with some 41.31% (2,190); the PP were second with 29.6% (1,569); Ciudadanos were third with 667 votes; Podemos fourth with 661; and United Left and Greens with 115 votes.
Local participation was 72.27%, well above the national average.
