The local Department of Culture has launched a competititon to find the Juan Pelotero of 2015: a local, traditional character of street theatre who appears on the last day of the year.
Juan Pelotero and his “inocentes”, traditionally, tour the streets on December 31st hijacking passer-byes, in the name of charity.
Anyone wanting to take part must be over the age of 10 years, be fluent in Spanish, and have an original script for the street theatre.
