The first bull run of the fiestas on Thursday was so fast the majority of the runners were left standing outside the coral at the bottom of Calle Mayor.
The bulls, from the stockbreeder “el Cubo” ran the course from Calle Mayor to the bull ring in just 1.43 minutes, making it imposible for most of the runners to keep up.
The Mayor of Calasparra, José Velez, walked the course of the bull run before the event with the statue of Our Lady of Hope of the Sanctuary. Among the dignitaries was Rafael Gonsalez Tovar.
Spectators for this first bull run of the fiestas were in their hundreds.
