During fiesta week adult visitors from Calasparra´s twin cities, Riorges in France and Donzdorf in Germany, will stay with local host families as part of twinning activities.
This year Calasparra has been twinned with Riorges for 14 years and with Donzdorf for two.
The visit is part of the project “For a closer Europe” financed by the Town Hall and the EU.
The delegations are headed by their respective mayors. They will be welcomed at an official reception in the Town Hall by Calasparra´s mayor, José Vélez.
The groups are expected to take part in various discussions and debates as well as visiting the Puerto Cave, the Rice Musuem, the Almadenes Canyon, the Emilio Pérez Piñero Foundation and a tile company in Valentin.
And, of course, in these festive times in Calasparra, they are expected to take part in all the traditional activities associated with the September fiestas.
