After a week of celebrations and events to mark the annual Fiestas of the Local Patron Saints of the town, peace and tranquility has returned to the streets of Calasparra.
The fiestas kicked off with the traditional opening speech on July 19th and were marked by various musical events including the appearance of King Africa and, on Saturday night, the legendary rock group, the Secrets, in Cine Rosales.
However, this is the most traditional fiesta in Calasparra, and ever popular events are the Night of the Migas, the early morning procession (la Diana) and the procession in traditional country costumes and floral tributes. This year a Paella Competition was added to the agenda.
