The Tourist Office has organised a nocturnal guided walk around the old town and the castle to discover the medieval history of Calasparra.
The walk will be on June 7 and leaves from the Casa Granero in the Calle Mayor at 8pm.
The event presents a unique occasion to view the restoration worksat the castle which were inaugurated a year ago:
The tour is likely to take two hours.
The Town Hall has announced that this will be the only event in the annual celebrations of the Donation of Calasparra to the Order of San Juan due to the proximity of the elections and the fact that the new government has not yet been formalized.
By law the new local and regional governments must be in place by June 15 and the acts of commemoration are normally around June 9.
