Local jobless figures fell by 255 in April, compared to the previous month, making Calasparra the municipal area in the North East Murcia region with the biggest drop.
April closed with 981 registered unemployed: 143 less in the services sector; and 79 less in the agricultural sector.
Local unemployment has not fallen below 1,000 since May last year.
The drop has been attributed to seasonal agricultural work and contracts in the services sector during Easter Week.
