The statue of Our Lady of Hope will be carried from the Sanctuary to Caasparra in a pilgrimage which marks the beginning of a programme of events throughout the month of May and early June.
Here are the full details:
There will be two daily masses at St Peter´s Church, at 8am and 8pm and every Thursday there will be an exhibition centred around the statue.
Friday May 1
12 midday Rosary in the Sanctuary square
1pm Mass in the Sanctuary chapel
3pm Buses leave Bar Pepon for the Sanctuary
5pm Pilgrimage from Sanctuary to Calasparrra begins
7.30pm The OAPs music group, La Rondalla of Calasparra will sing and dance at the door of the football stadium, while waiting for the arrival of the procession.
8pm The procession arrives and will be greeted by the statues of the two patron saints of the town, St Señen and Abdón.
9pm Mass at the Merced Church followed by a procession to St Peter´s Church.
Friday May 8
9.30am Memorial for the founder of the Francisan Sisters of the Sacred Heart organised by the local catholic school.
Saturday May 9
8pm Mass and floral tribute by the East Week organising committee.
The parish choir will take part.
Saturday May 13
11am Children´s blessing
8pm Mass
8.45pm Traditional hand kissing ceremony
Saturday May 16
6pm Mass for the Sick with the Rondalla of Calasparra.
8pm Mass and Food donations organised by Cáritas.

7pm Procession to the area of the Saints accompanied by the Association Band of Music of Calasparra.

8pm Mass outisde the OAPs Residence with the Calasparra choir.
8.45pm Solemn Procession to St Peter´s Church accompanied by the Band of Music.
