On Sunday March 29 at 2am the clock go forward one hour as we officially enter Summer Time.
THE HOUR OF THE PLANET
On Saturday March 28 at 8.30 pm individuals, cities, businesses and emblematic monuments will switch off their lights for an hour to draw attention to global warming and climatic change.
The event is organised by the World Wildlife Fund, the biggest global campaign to raise awareness and fight against global warming.
When the world goes dark, almost 10,000 cities in 172 countries will participate and try and offer solutions to the greatest environmental challenge of our lifetimes.
In Spain, so far, 223 cities, including the capitals of the provinces, have already signed up for the campaign and will switch off the illuminations on all their monuments and important buildings such as the Sagrada Familia, in Barcelona, the Mezquita-Catedral of Córdoba, the Torre del Oro, in Sevilla and the Muralla de Ávila
