BARS AND RESTAURANTS EXPECT 2000 VISITORS DURING ORIENTEERING TRIALS

The Head of the Tourist Office, Maria Dolores Gomariz, has called on bars and restaurants in Calasparra to prepare for over 2000 visitors as the 27ª Costa Cálida Orienteering Trials get underway this evening.
All the hotels and tourist rentals in the area are fully booked as Calasparra gears up for the first day of competition tomorrow and the 1,034 participants who come from all over the world.
This evening is a warm up trial for the participants to familiarise themselves with the route and the maps.
The Head of Tourism has told Radio Calasparra that local bars and restaurants need to prepare for a possible 2,000 visitors or more over the weekend of the trials.
