The Town Hall will table a motion at the next full local authority meeting authorizing the Head of the local Education Department to resolve the school meals crisis at the Esperanza Primary School.
The move follows a public demonstration on Wednesday morning against the price hike in school meals at the primary school which parents and teachers claim could mean the end for the only remaining school dining room in Calasparra.
The demonstrators had also demanded that the Town Hall look for another school meals provider, possibly locally, to provide meals at a cost parents can afford. They are also concerned about pupils who currently get free school meals.
