The Head of the Department of Tourism has organised the annual pilgrimage to the top of the Sierra de San Miguel fr September 28.
The walking route starts from the Plaza de la Corredera at 9am. Traditionally many of th residents of Calasparra take part in this walk, either independently or as a group. The views from the summit are spectacular and give a 360 degree panaroma. The route is quite long and winding and parts are quite steep. Good boots are recommended.
Also on the walking calendar up until November are routes to Cañaverosa, Almadenes and Argos.
