September is here again, in Calasparra, bringing us Fiesta week .The whole town is celebrating, enjoying processions, bull runs, eating in the streets, music and dancing everywhere.
There are various events to take part in and its showtime as well.
What a great night the Elvis tribute was on September 3rd at Cine Rosales, a blues band for over an hour and then the Elvis tribute, brilliant! He sang all the songs we know the words to and some great Elvis rock and Roll music to dance to. Spanish and English dancing together on the dance floor in front of the stage.
However these dancers were “Blocking the view” of Elvis said some seated customers, two people asked us to move to the side, we did not think we were being unreasonable enjoying ourselves ! We refused and decided to carry on dancing with everyone else ,the gentleman complainer then called us A………soles. My wife was extremely upset, however we carried on, we feel we are above this kind of mentality.
I presume he did not approach Spanish dancers probably because he could not converse with them.
What was he doing at an open air concert, playing Rock and Roll music to dance to anyway? We sincerely hope he does not come again.
I would hope, if he reads my comments he has the decency to apologise for his small mind and unpleasant comments.
We are all over 60 and intend to enjoy our senior lives here, in Calasparra, integrating with the locals and learning the language, which is paramount.
P.S. The editor and her partner certainly enjoyed themselves, dancing in front of the seated audience, any comments from you Diana about you “Blocking the view”?
