One of the three Calasparrians injured in the fatal accident which robbed the region of five young lives last week continues in a “critical” condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Morales Meseguer in Murcia, although medical sources say there has been a “discrete” improvement.
Another of the victims was transferred from Cieza to the Intensive Care Unit in Reina Sofía in Murcia, where his condition is said to be stable.
The third of the victims remains in the Lorenzo Guirao Hospital, Cieza where his condition is reported as “favorable.”
In total five young men died as a result of this tragic accident, including two from Calasparra, which occurred on the RM-714 Cieza-Calasparra last Tuesday morning between a works van driving from the direction of Calasparra and a Mercedes saloon driving in the opposite direction.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
