The almost million euro project to provide tourist access to Calasparra Castle and carry out conservation work on the ruins was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Promotion, Mario Garcés, The Government Delegate for Murcia, Joaquín Bascuñana, and the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, yesterday.
As part of the project wooden boards have been installed to provide access and a viewing platform.
The work was funded by a 75% grant through the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Patrimony.
There will be open days to view the installations on June 28 and 29 from 9.30 to 11.30am.
