The local police have arrested a 33 year old man, initials P.T.M, from Jumilla after finding 627 grammes of marihuana, equivilent to 1,300 doses, in his car.
According to sources at the Department of Police and Citizen Security at the Town Hall the local police had been following the suspect for several months and suspected that he was selling drugs in the local area.
On June 11 the man was arrested after two police patrols intercepted his vehicle in the central Calasparra.
On searching his car police found a bag containing eleven individual containers of marihuana weighing a total of 627 grammes which was ready for sale and distribution.
The driver was arrested on public health offences and appeared before magistrates in Caravaca.
