The Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, met with the President of the regional government this week and among the issues they discussed were the future of Calasparra station and the prioritising of work planned to improve the Autovia del Norte.
Jesus Navarro underlined the importance of the planned roadworks to expand the Autovia del Norte for comunications with Calasparra and the station for its strategic position and the future of the planned “dry port”.
The Mayor also used the meeting to secure an action plan for the River Argos which includes measures to avoid the a repeat of this year´s flooding in the Textiles area and the industrial estate in Calasparra.
Conservas Fernandez was also on the agenda and the Mayor has applied for a meeting with INFO for an update on the current situation and to study any future plans.
