Despite losing her business partner due to ill health Melanie is optimistic about the Bar Restaurant Las Lomas under her management and has already begun to ring the changes!!
The first innovation is that there will be live music every Saturday night starting this week with three guitarists, “Oh Brother” so no-one will be at a loose end at the weekends. Melanie also offers a free local shuttle service for customers so there are no worries about drinking and driiving.
The Bar Restaurant will now open every day and Melanie will be preparing a three course Menu del Día, Monday to Saturday, with a glass of wine, beer or mineral water included in the price.
Monday´s popular Quiz Night continues and she has teamed up with a local gym to offer a Slimming Club on Monday mornings.
Anyone with unwanted Christmas presents or anything else they want to sell can book a table free at the Table Top Sale every last Sunday in the month. Sellers ands buyers can enjoy Melanie´s special bacon sandwiches!!
If you miss having a good old British roast you can book a table at the regular Sunday Carvery.
Friday is Fish and Chips night and Melanie orders, batters and fries the cod fresh served with handcut chips.
Las Lomas is set in one of Calasparra´s beauty spots and there are some stunning walks from the door uncluding to the river and local Sanctuary. As the weather gets warmer customers can take advantage of the outside terraces and spectaular views across the “Lomas” (hillsides) from which the Bar Restaurant takes its name.
More music dates are Saturday January 18 “Dee”; January 25th “Pitu”; and on February 1 a Bono Tribute.
