There were 86 runners in the second charity run around the streets of Calasparra on New Year’s Eve organised by the opposition political party, Partido Popular, to collect non perishable foodstuffs for needy local families.
The runners, including 26 local residents, members of the Red Cross and Caritas, doctors, nurses and firemen, ran three times around the town logging five kilometres.
Each runner brought a kilo of food or hygiene products whih will be distributed by the Red Cross and Caritas to families in need in Calasparra.
