All residents and Calasparrians are invited to take part in the Day of the Esperanza on December 18 when a special programme has been designed to underline the signficance of Our Lady of Hope for the town.
The celebrations will begin at 8pm in the Sancutary chapel with a special mass followed by supper in the Sanctuary restaurant for the pilgrims. During the supper a figurine of Our Lady of Hope and a mountain bike will be raffled.
The meal will cost 25€ and the menú is as follows:
Seafood tissue with red pepper sauce sauce
Flame cooked lamb or Sea Bass or Gilt
Puff pastry with cream and hot chocolate
Jumilla wine, soft drinks, beers or wáter
Tickets for the dinner can be bought at the Sanctuary or at the Sanctuary office in Calle Socovos, Calasparra.
The first pilgimage of the Year of the Sanctuary will be celebrated this Saturday, December 7, leaving from the Merced Church at 3.45pm.
