ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF DROP IRRIGATION SYSTEM CONTRACTS

There is now a full translation and explanation of the two documents landowners need to sign in order to have the new pressurized drop irrigation system installed on their property.
The Associación de Regantes del Argos, the organisation which represents all landowners in the Calasparra area, is able to provide the translated documents to anyone interested in signing on for the new system.
At a meeting last night the Committee displayed a local colour coded map which illustrated the «si´s» and «no´s» and «don´t knows.»
Although those in favour are in the majority they still number less than half of the total number of «taullas» represented by the organisation. The Association is currently visiting all landowners in the «white» (don´t know) zones to give them the chance to sign up.
As the Committee explained last night, the more landowners who sign up the now the cheaper the system will be.
There are some 9,500 taullas in Calasparra of which over 4,000 have signed on for the new system.
Anyone wanting to sign on for the new system after its installation will have to pay aditional costs which are not covered by the EU grant.
The system should be installed and functioning within 18 months, according to the Committee.
Anyone interested in these documents can obtain them from the Association any Thursday evening or from the Libreria opposite the headquarters in Gran Via. Alternatively, readers can contact nexonr by email and we can send out a copy of the documents.
