Any non Spanish speaking resident who currently has, or had, access to irrigation water through the network of canals in Calasparra is invited to a special information meeting on the new alternative plan for Phase II of the Modernization of the irrigation systems.
The meeting will be on Thursday at 9pm in the headquarters of the Comunidad de Regantes, which is in the basement of the building of the former premises of the Consumer Office in Gran Via, near the fountain and almost opposite the “librería” on the corner of the Cupola square.
There will be a Spanish/English interpreter who will explain the alternative plan, the costs of the pressurised irrigation system and the advantages for Calasparra. There will be plenty of time for any questions .
The closing date for signing up for the new irrigation system has been extended until August 30 and there is a full day of voting on August 31 when every member is entitled to vote for or against the system.
